Kenny's at Plaza House

My

My "lunch box" set at Kenny's.

Megumi and I went out for lunch yesterday at Kenny's, located in Plaza House.  Plaza House is a three-story, open-air, small mall on the other side of Kadena.  Kenny's is a Japanese restaurant on the third floor.

We both ordered off their "lunch box" sets menu, after laughing hysterically at their English menu.  If I could have taken photos of their spelling and confusing grammatical errors without drawing too much attention from the waitress that was slightly hovering near our table, trust me, I would have.  I want to take Brandon there to eat one of these days and maybe I'll be able to snap a few photos then.  It truly is priceless.  :)

Confusing English menu aside, the food was excellent!  Megumi's set came with tempura, mochi (the rice dough Brandon loves) balls, half of an egg (that strikingly resembled a 100-Year Egg I ate in China...though this one clearly hadn't been soaked in tea), sashimi (raw fish), miso soup, and rice.  My set came with delicious chicken, tasty sashimi, a fried tofu dish, rice, and miso soup.  All meals at Kenny's also include a small salad bar and tea/coffee bar.  We were both very pleased by our meals (and very stuffed!)

With all of our recent traveling and visitors, I hadn't been out with Megumi since before our Tokyo Thanksgiving trip, so it was especially nice to get together and catch up.  Good food and friendship - can't beat it!
