Okinawa Farming

Here is a set of photos I have taken with my cell phone camera while driving to work over the course of the last year.  The top picture is a farmer harvesting his sugarcane.

I slowed down enough to take this picture of this farmer who had just finished working his small field directly to his left.  He even waved at me when I saw I was taking his picture.

Last, but not least I have noticed anytime there is a tractor parked at one of the fields it is always covered as pictured above.  Even though these three pictures are of the machinery they are using, the majority of the time I see the Okinawa farmers doing everything by hand with no help from any type of machine.
